Model Home was a temporary exhibition structure commissioned by the Batlimore Office for the Promotion of the Arts for the Artscape 2003 festival.
Constructed of plywood, unprinted house wrap, and rented scaffolding parts, this structure was designed to accommodate several art installations that referenced the domestic situation.
The translucent cladding of the sturcuture was selected for it's weatherproofing and light diffusing qualities. The material provided diffuse interior light by day and transmitted a glow at night.
Interior electric lighting was limited to construction string lights hung from the ceiling that could be reused at the end the installation.
