Reflection - Resonance

Reflection - Resonance was a 2 part 2 day environmental art piece using sound, animation, light and sculpture. Part I, an interactive performance, took place in the MICA Gateway building exterior courtyard on October 30, 2008. Transmitted and reflected light resulting from participant interaction focused the visitor attention on the dynamic character of the architectural surroundings. A custom audio composition reinforces the spatial experience of the building courtyard. Part II, was an immersive light art installation located inside the building's experimental theater. This environment was the backdrop of a catered event and unique luminous sculptures, reflected light and projected images that changed over time.

This project was highly collaborative and included significant contributions by students in MICA's Visual Space: The Lighted Environment course, James Rouvelle and Jason Sloan. Refer to the project website for additional information and images.
