Voltage Drop

Baltimore, MD | 2009

Part of the Propositions exhibit at Area 405 in Baltimore, this site-determined light art installation consisted of a single theatrical projector and several hundred feet of common extension cords. Electricity provided at one end of the cords powered a light source at the other. This work engaged visitors’ peripheral and direct vision, emphasizing the dynamic nature of perception. To underscore the ephemeral nature of the work, all lighting equipment was borrowed for the length of the exhibit and returned upon deinstallation.
