ERROR Exhibit

Greenwich, CT | 2019

We focused this Urs Fischer solo exhibition at the Brant Foundation’s Greenwich space soon after completing work on the gallery’s lighting upgrade from incandescent and halogen equipment to energy-efficient LED. Our scope also included upgrades to the gallery’s lighting control system. The exhibit featured many of Fischer’s large-scale works, including “Why do you hate me? I never helped you,” a suspended installation of 3,150 sculpted plaster oversized raindrops. To avoid glare and ensure that the sculpture would be evenly lit, we employed an indirect lighting strategy by aiming fixtures at the perimeter walls of the gallery rather than directly at the raindrops.
