Baltimore, MD | 2007
This commissioned light art exhibit, located outside of the 2007 Neocon East convention, aimed to promote dialogue about sustainability before visitors entered the convention hall. Bales of shredded paper were borrowed from a local organization that collects paper waste and delivers it to companies that recycle it to make new products. Our lighting approach included modular fluorescent strip lights that accentuated the texture of the bales, while LCD projectors presented videos of the paper recycling process.
